How to Make Fake Braces

Wanna dress up as a nerd for Halloween? Does the person you're being have braces? Don't fret, this article will show you how to make some fake braces!

Paper Clip Version

Unbend one paper clip with your hands.

Make a U shape big enough to fit your teeth.

Use clear tape to stick them to your teeth.

Smile!

Wire Version

1. Take plain wire and form it into a U shape.
2. Put tin foil and/or colored seed beads onto there for brackets.

Tips

• If you don't wanna go through all the trouble making fake braces you can go to a special costume shop where you can buy fake braces that clip onto your teeth.
• There are a couple of online stores that sell custom fake braces: Fake Braces Company in the U.S. and Braces Shop in Germany.
• If you wanna be extra safe use sand paper and sand down the edges before using the pliers to curve the paper clip.

Warnings

• Be extra careful while shaping the paper clip into your mouth shape; it could cut you!
• Be careful and don't choke on the paperclip.
• For the wire version, if you put tin foil on and you have fillings this can cause terrible pain. Proceed with caution.
